Dr. Surbhi Joshi

Dr. Surbhi Joshi is consultant psychiatrist at Ahmedabad. Having completed her Diploma in Psychiatric Medicine from the Department of Psychiatry SVP Hospital (V.S. Hospital) Ellisbridge, she went on for her M.B.B.S. at AMC MET Medical College LG Hospital, Ahmedabad.

She participated and presented at various seminars and journal clubs during her tenure of study. She took lectures for interns, nursing and physiotherapy students too. Possess interest in research publication as a help to students in STS projects under ICMR. She presented a poster in the 71st Annual National Conference of Indian Psychiatry Society, 31st Jan-3rd Feb 2019 at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, Lucknow. The research paper titled : “A case report of a patient presented with delusion of poverty”.

She is a life member of Indian Psychiatry Society - National, Gujarat chapter and Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar chapter. Also a member of Ahmedabad Jung Centre at Department of Psychiatry, B.J. Medical College Ahmedabad.

She worked as a Medical Officer at Jivraj Mehta Hospital, Ahmedabad from Jan-May, 2017 in the Emergency Ward and ICU. Later, for Jan-April 2018, she was at U.N. Mehta Cardiology Institute as a Medical Officer gaining experience to manage cardiac emergencies. She was on a special duty, designated to Covid-19 psychiatric helpline : “Corona Santvana”.

She’s attended and been a part of many workshops as well as conferences.
