Dr. Dharmesh Patel

Dr. Dharmesh Patel is a consultant Psychiatrist and Founder Director at GIPS Psychiatric Clinic and Deaddiction center, Ahmedabad.
His areas of interest are Depression, Anxiety disorder, Schizophrenia and De- Addiction of Alcohol, Opioid, Cannabis, Tobacco etc.
He completed his M.B.B.S. from well known B.J. Medical College, Civil Hospital, Ahmedabad in 1998 and DPM and MD- Psychiatry from Sheth K.M. School of Postgraduate , NHL Municipal Medical college, Ahmedabad in 2001.
He has been attached with Medical Colleges since 2004. Started as an Assistant Professor at Kesarsal Medical college, then Associate Professor at AMC-MET Medical College and now he is a Professor and Head of the Psychiatry department at GCS Medical college and Hospital. Apart from treating patients, he shares his vast experience and teaches Postgraduate and Undergraduate medical students.
He served as a theory and practical examiner for the Post Graduate MD exam of Psychiatry.
He contributed his expertise as a chairperson in various seminars , poster and paper presentations in Psychiatric conferences.
His 2 research papers were published in International Journal and 3 research papers in National Journal. He actively participated in more than 10 International Research Trials.
He served community services as a visiting faculty in various charitable trust including:

- Santokba charitable hospital, Dolka
- Gordhandas Charitable Hospital, Vastrapur, Ahmedabad
